The signs appeared all over the city on a moonless November night. No flashy billboards. Just simple paper flyers, stapled or taped haphazardly on wood fences and lightpoles. The day came well before dawn, carried to an early birth on the backs of the clever, the quick, and the desperate.
They came seeking bargains. And those who followed the signs that appeared on a moonless November night? They found bargains, each as if a dream come true.
And as always with such bargains, the costs are hidden, but never absent.
What they saved in dollars, they paid in souls.
